今日の例会はいつもの赤羽会館ではなく王寺駅前の北とぴあで開催されました。
たまにはいつもと違う場所で例会をやるのも良いですね。
今日は4人のゲストの方をお迎えして、楽しく例会がスタート。
今日は日本語スピーチ3本、英語スピーチ1本です。
Today, we had 3 Japanese speeches and 1 English speech. All the participants including 4 guests enjoyed them very much!
最初のスピーカーはMさん。「なんちゃって管理職」という楽しいタイトルのアイスブレーカースピーチ。普段は物静かなMさんのユーモアあふれるスピーチに一同大爆笑！
First speaker was TM M-san. His speech title is “A pretended manager”. Although he is a quiet person, his speech was full of humor and everybody laughed a lot.
2番目のスピーカーはTさん。今日のスピーチ・プロジェクトは「気難しい聴衆の管理」ということで、「困ったちゃん」役を演じる複数のメンバーからのツッコミをうまくかわしながらのスピーチ。かなりうまくさばいていましたが、「今日のランチはどうするんですか？」という全く関係のない質問には絶句！全く予想外の質問への対応は難しいですね。
Second speaker is TM T-san. Today’s his project is “to manage difficult audience.” He successfully coped with several difficult members. But he was confused by a totally unrelated question, “Where should we have lunch today?” It is really difficult to deal with a surprising question!
三番目のスピーカーはIさん。「自律一心」をキーワードに、理想的なトーストマスターズのメンタリングの在り方をお話しされました。
Third speaker is TM I-san. She talked about ideal toastmasters’ mentoring explaining the importance of autonomy and support.
英語のスピーチはKさん。英語の苦手なKさんがオランダに一人旅をした際のエピソード。苦手な英語でスピーチしようとするKさんの勇気に拍手です。
English speaker is TM K-san. She talked about the episode she visited Netherland. Although she is not good at English, she tried to do her best.
各論評では、スピーカーの良い点を具体的に挙げつつ、鋭い改善点の指摘も。「時系列を明確にして、聴衆に場面設定を共有する」「比喩表現と対するエピソードは整合させるようにする」などは他のスピーチでも気を付けたい点です。
Every evaluator pointed out speakers’ good points very clearly, and provided precious advice to improve their speeches. “Clarify the time sequence so that the audience can follow your story.” “Metaphor should be consistent with the episode.” Such advices are useful for other speakers.

今日も入会式があり、Mさんが新たに赤羽のメンバーとなりました。
新規のメンバーも順調に増え、赤羽クラブは全国のトーストマスターズクラブでも最もDCP(Distinguished Club Program) Pointsの高いクラブとなっています（T会長談）！
明日はエリア・スピーチ・コンテスト。クラブ代表の皆さん、頑張りましょう！
Today, M-san became our club member. Number of new members of our club are consistently increasing, and Akabane club has the most DCP points in toastmasters club in Japan (our president said)!
Tomorrow, we’ll have an area speech contest in Ikebukuro. Contestants from our club will deliver outstanding speeches!
