Today, we have a new member; T.T. san. He wants to improve his presentation ability. Let’s enjoy learning together!
入会式の後英語の部。今朝の言葉は「surprising(ly)（驚くべき(驚くほどに)）」。
After the induction ceremony, we start the English session. Today’s word is “surprising(ly)”. A surprisingly good word!
英語の最初のスピーチはT.K.さん。ご自身のリーダーシップについて、国際的な現場での経験やかつての尊敬する上司の言葉などを交えて、印象深く語られました。特に上司からの言葉「君のための時間は何時でもある」「君をサポートするために私はいるんだ」は感動的ですね！
Today’s first speaker is T.K. san. She talks about her leadership style through her episodes at international cooperation. Her respective boss’s words “I always have time for you.” And “I’m here to support you.” are unforgettable!
英語の2番目のスピーチはT.K.さん。2021年に始めたこととして手作りのお弁当、しかもアジのお寿司を毎日！とのこと。生のお魚は健康にも美容にもいいのだとか。本当に美味しそう！
The second English speaker is T.K. san. She introduces her new habit in 2021. Everyday she makes hand-made OBENTO, horse mackerel sushi! Raw fish is good for health and beauty. Oh, I want to eat the sushi!
テーブルトピックのお題は「オリンピック」。
「もしオリンピックが開催されたら、直接観戦、それともテレビで？」「生もいいけどやっぱりテレビかな～」
「もしオリンピック選手になるとしたら、どのスポーツ？」「空手だよ。今、空手を練習中。」
オリンピックがどうなるかはわかりませんが、テーブルトピックのお陰でしばしオリンピック気分。
Today’s table topic theme is “Olympic games.”
“Will you buy a ticket and go watching games or watch TV?” “I’ll watch TV.”
“If you become an Olympic athlete, which sports do you choose?” “Karate. I’m practicing it now.”
We don’t know whether the Olympic games are held or not, we feel like we were in the Olympics.
個人論評ではN.T.さんがT.K.さんのスピーチについて、印象的なエピソードや上司の言葉が特によく、特にカギとなる言葉はタイトルにも使っては、とアドバイス。
また、C.A.さんがT.K.さんのスピーチについて、構成も言葉もわかりやすく、またスピーチを聴いてお寿司の作り方をメモしたくなった、と素直なフィードバック。
N.T. san evaluates T.K. san’s speech. He compliments her on impressive short episodes and unforgettable words from her boss. He points out that boss’s words “I always have time for you” can be the speech title.

日本語の部の今朝の言葉は「活力」。少しでも元気に、明るく、の願いを込めて。
Today’s word of the morning is “vitality”. With a wish to be as cheerful and bright as possible.
日本語のスピーカーはY.I.さん。アメリカ赴任時代に頑張っていたのにダメ出しされ、自分を批判する人に不満を募らせたけど、相手を責めても何も解決せず、自分の問題を改善しようと自分に焦点を当てた時から道は開けた、というストーリー性豊かなスピーチに皆感動。
The Japanese speaker is Y.I. san. She talks about an episode from her time in the U.S. How she overcome her complaints about Ms. A who criticised her and how she focused on what she could do move us.
テーブルトピックのお題は、「人生の知恵」。スピーカーからいろいろな「知恵」を引き出すいいお題！
「イヤなことがあった後の対処法は？」「ランニングがおススメ。エンドルフィンという幸せ物質が出るよ！」
「周囲の人と仲良くやっていくコツは？」「話をちゃんと聞いて、お互いの行きたい方向を調整することかな。」
「若さを保つ秘訣は？」「体を動かすことと、「バカ」であること。」若さを保つにはバカさも保つのがいいのね！なるほど！
The theme of table topic is “Wisdom of Life.” Good topics extract great tips from each speaker!
“What do you do when you face with something unpleasant?”
“I’ll go for a run. Running releases endorphins, a happy substance.”
“How to get along with the people around you?”
“I listen carefully and find a compromise.”
“How to keep young?” “Doing exercises and staying foolish!”
個人論評ではY.I.さんがY.I.さんのスピーチに対し、メッセージ、構成、デリバリーのすべてが素晴らしい！と大絶賛。そのうえで、スピーカーの目指すスピーチを踏まえて、聴衆を巻き込むための間の重要性を指摘。
Y.I. san praiseｓ Y.I. san’s speech greatly. He points out her wonderful message, well-designed structure, and good delivery. In addition, he suggests to take poses to connect with audience which the speaker aims at.
