今日は英語の部から。今朝の言葉は「24/7」。24時間年中無休、四六時中、いつでもという意味です。
Today we start from the English session. Today’s word is “24/7”. It means twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week.
今日は英語の部ではテーブルトピックスがなんと2回！1回目はPathwaysのプロジェクトとしてT.K.さんがテーブルトピック・マスターとなり、2回目は通常の例会プログラムとしてA.C.さんがお題を出題。
T.K.さんのお題は「不注意による失敗」。これに対し、Y.T.さんは小学校の時、「花」と「鼻」を聞き間違えたほほえましいエピソードを披露。これに対してT.K.さんは温かいフィードバック・コメントを述べました。
Today, we have 2 table topic sessions. First one is T.K. san’s Pathway’s project, and second one is usual table topic session.
T.K. san’s theme is “careless mistake.” Y.T. san talks about his childlike episode that he misheard “花(flower)” and “鼻(nose)”. Everybody imagines him in elementary school and smiles.
2回目のテーブルトピックはA.C.さんが「春の思い出」「緊急事態宣言解除後にやりたいこと」という、この時期にピッタリのお題。
これに対し、N.T．さんは卒業式の思い出を語り、T.I.さんは「緊急事態宣言が解除されたら人出が多くなりそうでちょっと怖いなあ」という思いを述べられていました。
At the second table topic session, A.C. san gives us subjects that is perfect for this time.
“What is your memory of spring?” “Spring reminds me graduation ceremony. ”
“What do you want to do if the state of emergency is called off?”
“Many people might go out, and I’m afraid of it.”
英語の準備スピーチはK.A.さん。”Happenings happen!” と題してコンテスト中に怒ったハプニングの数々を紹介、それをどう乗り越えたのか、というエピソードから、ハプニングは常に起こるもの、それを想定した準備と練習をしておけば、喜びを得られる、とのスピーチでした。
At the English speech session, K.A. san presents a humorous speech “Happenings happen!” She introduces various happenings she faced during the contest, and insists the law of 3 Ps “Preparation and practice bring pleasure.”
個人論評の部では、まずT.K.さんのテーブルトピック・マスターぶりについてY.I.さんがユーモアセンスやスピーカーのスピーチを笑顔で聞く姿勢を称賛。
K.A.さんのスピーチに対する論評はS.K.さん。わかりやすく、聴いていて心地いい半面、聴衆がリラックスしすぎて注意力が落ちる危険性があり、スピーチ途中に「刺激」を入れるとよい、と、初めての論評にも関わらず高度な技のアドバイス！
At the evaluation session, Y.I. san praises T.K. san’s sense of humor and her warm attitude when she listened Y.T. san’s speech.
S.K. san challenges his first evaluation, and presents useful analysis of K.A. san’s speech. He points out that her speech is easy to listen and fun to listen, but audience would become too relaxed and lose attention. So it’s better to put “stimulation” during the speech. What a sharp analysis!
日本語の部の今朝の言葉は「春うらら」。春のうららかな様子、明るくほがらかで、のどかなさまを指す言葉で、まるで赤羽クラブみたい！
Today’s word of the morning is “春うらら(beautiful spring)”. It means bright, cheerful and serene situation. It’s like Akabane club’s atmosphere!
日本語のスピーカーはN.T.さん。「歩く」と題して、去年から今年にかけて100km以上歩き倒した経験から感じた「歩く」効用、今年歩きたい「みちのく潮風トレイル」の紹介をしてくれました。みんな、歩きたくなってソワソワ。
The Japanese speaker is N.T. san. He introduces his walking experiences from 2020 to2021. He walked more than 100 km and realizes merits of walking. This summer, he is planning to walk “Michinoku sea breeze trail.” Oh, it must be fun!
テーブルトピックは今回が初のテーブルトピックマスターのS.K.さん。こちらもこの時期によく合ったお題です。
「春に行きたいところは？」「台湾に里帰り。2年以上入国していないと年金の権利がなくなっちゃう！」
「どの季節が好き？」「秋かな。熱いのも寒いのも苦手で、春は花粉がやっかい。秋は食べ物もおいしいし、いい季節！」
「ニューノーマルへの期待/不安は？」「在宅勤務は通勤時間がなくて好き！」
Today’s table topic master is S.K. san. This is the first time he takes this role! He chooses suitable subjects for this time.
“Where do you want to go in spring?” “I want to visit my hometown in Taiwan. If I haven't been in Taiwan for more than two years, I lose my pension right!” (ﾟдﾟ)！
“Which season do you like best?” “I like autumn. I don’t like hot season nor cold season. In spring, I suffer from pollinosis. But in autumn, I can enjoy delicious foods!”
“What is your expectation or worry about “new normal”?” “I love telecommuting. I don’t have to go to the company and save time!”
個人論評ではT.K.さんがN.T.さんのスピーチについて、聴衆の巻き込み方がうまく、またスピーチを聴いてご自身も歩きたくなった、と心情を吐露。ただ、スピーチの目的との関係性については工夫が必要かも、とのアドバイス。
At individual evaluation, T.K. san praises N.T. san’s use of a question to involve audience. And she says “I want to walk!” Her advice for his speech is more connection with the perpose of today’s project. That’s an important point!
